This one-day Belted Galloway cattle show was held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Iowa City, Iowa on August 2, 2008. The Superintendents for the show were Pat and
Greg Hipple with Sutliff Belties (IA). This show included many first-time exhibitors and was held simultaneously with a BYG show.

2008 Blow & Go Show
On July 5th, at the Winnebago County Fairgrounds, Pecatonica, IL, the GLBGA held the 3rd Annual Blow & Go Show. This was a one-day open show and BYG Junior Show, held
simultaneously. The Superintendent for this show was Lisa Lovett (IL). Several first-time exhibitors attended this show as well.

2008 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days
GLBGA sponsored an exhibit at the Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, held on July 15th. The event was hosted by Country Aire Farms located near Greenleaf in southern Brown County.
Our members, Al and Cathy Stern of Arbor Winds Farm, Inc. of Fredonia, Wisconsin took animals to exhibit for this 3-day event. Over 600 exhibitors participated.
The show featured their 2,000 cow free-stall barns, a 40-cow carousal milking parlor and 3,400 acres of harvesting land. This was a terrific event to highlight Belted Galloway cattle. We sincerely appreciate the Sterns hard work and efforts
in making this a success.

2008 World Beef Expo
Since 1993, the GLBGA has participated and helped to sponsor the Belted Galloway Show during the annual World Beef Expo—from its origination in Madison, Wisconsin to its present location
at the Wisconsin State Fair Park, Milwaukee. This last show was held in September 2007 and was well attended by both exhibitors and guests.

2009 World Beef Expo was held September 23-27, 2009 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in Milwaukee, WI.
2009 Field Day
2009 Field Day was held Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st, 2009. The host farms were Mr. and Mrs. John Hamm of Wisconsin River Meats and Lorna and Dr. Michael Caldwell of Caldwell Farms in Milladore, WI.
Country Inn & Suites in Mauston, WI was the hotel headquarters for the weekend.

2009 BYG Camp Hope and Show
2009 BYG Camp Hope and Show was held June 26-28, 2009 in Joliet, IL at the Joliet Junior College. This camp was for juniors and adults. Nationally known, professional fitter, Chuck McCullough from Iowa taught the camp. The
topics were: everyday care, fitting, clipping, showing, washing, setting up your display and feeding of cattle. The camp concluded with a showmanship contest and an open show.
The cost of Camp Hope is $100 per camper.
